A George IV early card case, oblong, stamped with foliage, flowers and shells surrounding a rayed ground, centred on each side by a cartouche; one inscribed 'To A. McI Littlejohn 1870', the other side crested below the motto 'SPES INFRACTA' and above the name 'A. DICK', by Taylor and Perry, Birmingham 1829, 3.5in (9cm) high, 2.5oz.
