A late 17th/early 18th century continental spoon

A late 17th/early 18th century continental spoon, with a winged mask finial and a hollow stem, the back of the bowl with a baptismal inscription 'den 7th' Mertz 1779 ist getauftabersam zufi sratgotte. Hans Jacob Scherer', marks distorted, probably Swiss, possibly Zurich, maker 'I.S', 6.1in (15.5cm) long.
