Description
A rare green-glazed creamware 'landskip' teapot c.1765, probably Whieldon or Wedgwood, typically moulded to each side with a tall Georgian house behind sheep and cattle, swans swimming around the base, the cover with a recumbent lamb finial, the handle broken off and restuck, 20.5cm. (2)

There has been some tentative past attribution of the mould for these teapots to William Greatbatch, based on an invoice discussed by David Barker in his book on the Staffordshire potter. However, there is no definite evidence supporting this theory and block moulds have been discovered at several factory sites as well as Wedgwood, making a definite attribution difficult.
