Description
A good pearlware plaque of John Wesley c.1800, the rectangular form printed with an oval portrait of the cleric reading a religious text, titled 'Reverend John Wesley, MA, Aged 87', the moulded frame edged in black, 21cm.
The print follows an engraving by William Ridley (1764-1838) after a miniature by R Arnold (fl.1770-1810).
Provenance: from the collection of the late Reverend John J Perry.
