Alexandra Aguilar Doméracki

Alexandra Aguilar is a leading auctioneer and ‘Young Gun’, within the auction scene. She is a specialist in Asian art with particular expertise in Japanese works of art. Originally from Dijon, Alex studied at the University of Burgundy; she completed her master’s degree in Japanese Art History at the University of Edinburgh, and now is an auctioneer and expert working for Woolley and Wallis auction house in Salisbury in the UK.

Alex recently founded a new specialist Japanese department for Woolley and Wallis; she is an expert in netsuke and an active member of both the Netsuke Society and the Oriental Ceramic Society. She has had a number of significant finds, including important Komai metalware, fine Korean art and an important 17th century porcelain figure from the Kakiemon kilns.
