The October sale will commence with medals, orders and decorations. Particular highlights include a D.F.C., A.F.C. and Bar to Second World War test pilot Harry Alexander Purvis. This is one of only twenty-six double A.F.C.'s for the war.
In the coin section there is a rare Gold Proof Two Pounds of 1826 which is estimated at £3,000 - 5,000.
For firearms enthusiasts there is a range of antique pistols and longarms, as well as a section of sporting shotguns.
A good Arab sword from Zanzibar is one of the leading lots in the edged weapons section, which also includes Japanese swords and daggers.
