A small Chinese ivory carving of Buddhai Ho Shang, the corpulent monk seated wearing loose robes, exposing his belly and holding a rosary, 18th century, 7cm. Together with a wood stand. (2) Provenance: Sackville, 5th Earl of Yarborough, purchased from John Sparks Ltd., for 8 guineas, and recorded in the Sparks archive.
