A rare Worcester saucer c.1765, decorated in the Giles atelier with unusually naturalistic flower sprays and single scattered leaves, blue crossed swords and 9 mark, traces of gilding to the rim, 13cm. Cf. Stephen Hanscombe, James Giles, China and Glass Painter 1718-80, pl.8 for a trio with this decoration.
