A Ludwigsburg figure of Truth, modelled by Johann Christian Wilhem Beyer, standing and holding an open book displaying a golden sun and the inscription 'Veritas', her modesty scarcely preserved by a corner of her robe which slips onto the pedestal behind her, iron red S mark, c.1770, broken and reglued, 25cm.
