An Anglo-Indian ivory

An Anglo-Indian ivory, horn and lac games box, Vizagapatam, in the form of a book, the exterior with a chequer board within bands of foliate decoration, the sandalwood interior inlaid a backgammon board in ebony and ivory with further lac decoration, 2nd half 19th century, 18.5in (47cm) h, 10in (25.5cm) w, closed. Old cracks, a section of ivory off but present, some lifting.
