A George II walnut side chair

A George II walnut side chair, the serpentine eared top rail above a pierced and interlaced splat back, the drop-in seat above leaf and cabochon capped cabriole legs and terminating in claw and ball feet. Provenance: Acquired by the current vendor from the estate of Mrs Violet D'Arcy Gubbins (c.1914-1993) of the Cottage, Sonning, Berkshire. Mrs D'Arcy Gubbins was the elder daughter of Colonel and Mrs. Kay.
