An early 19th Century gold fob seal in the form of a caged bird. The realistically formed cage of gold bars and set with pearls and turquoise cabochons. With a carved hard stone bird and hinged door. With sliding door with glazed locket compartment containing platted hair. Green stone seal base engraved with the words 'Chissa' se ti sovverrai d me?' translates to 'who knows if you will ever remember me?' 4.5cm high. Fitted case.
