The Battle of Waterloo, 1815, a silver striking, in reduced size, of Benedetto Pistrucci's famous medal, conjoined busts of the allied leaders, rev Wellington and Blcher as classical equestrian generals, 155mm (cf BHM 870, note), No 1 of a limited edition of 5,000, in red leather case of issue with details and certificate. Struck with a matt surface, mint state. Of additional interest as the first medal of the issue.
