Charles I, Death and Memorial, silver medal, 1649, by Thomas Rawlins, bust left, hair long, wearing armour with lion shoulder-plate, mantle tied at shoulder, and Garter George on ribbon, CAROLVS DG MAG BRIT FRAN ET HIB REX FIDEI DEFENSOR, rev., a rock buffeted by the winds and waves, IMMOTA TRIVMPHANS - IAN 30 1648, 42mm (MI 341/190; Eim. 158; Platt type D, p. 247; vL II, 321). Extremely fine with dark tone, scarce.
