An early Victorian silver-gilt snuff box, by Thomas Edwards, London 1837, rectangular form, engine-turned decoration, the hinged cover with a foliate scroll border, inscribed 'Presented by a few friends to Ben. Massey Esq. in testimony of their high esteem for his public and private character, November 27th 1851', length 9cm, approx. weight 6.5oz.
