A Victorian presentation silver snuff box, by Frederick Marson, Birmingham 1856, rectangular form, engraved foliate scroll decoration, foliate thumb-piece, the hinged cover inscribed 'Presented to Mr James Ferguson by a few friends as an acknowledgment of his services in abolishing the old assesment of road money in the parish of Carluke 1869', length 9.3cm, approx. weight 5.8oz.
