An Elizabeth I silver wine cup, maker's mark of a windmill, attributed to Robert Wright, London 1578, tapering circular bowl, with a central girdle, engraved above with a grasshopper, a snail, a bird and ribbon tied swag decoration, and embossed below with lobed decoration,on a knopped stem and tapering circular foot, height 12.3cm, approx. weight 4.2oz. ** Provenance: A Private Collection Sworders Auctioneers, Essex,13th November 2007 lot 319.
