New Head of Silver Announced

4th June 2009

Woolley and Wallis are pleased to announce the appointment of Rupert Slingsby as their new Head of Silver. Rupert began his career in 1992, when he joined Bonhams; working for the company for almost ten years. He rejoined the firm in 2005 to head up the London Silver Department, and joins Woolley and Wallis from this position. He is extremely well known in the industry, being a freeman of the Goldsmith's Company, and a member of the Silver Society, the Silver Spoon Collector's Club and the Decorative Arts Society.

Chairman Paul Viney comments, "I am delighted that Rupert is joining us and I am confident that with his knowledge, experience and enthusiasm we can maintain our position as what the Antiques Trade Gazette recently described as 'the leading silver department of any regional saleroom'."
