This October, the Horatio’s Garden Art Auction returns (Timed sale from 9th - 26th October 2025), featuring over 80 exclusive works by leading and emerging artists to raise vital funds for people living with spinal injuries.
Among the contributors is Emily Kilby, a talented young ceramic artist who paints using her mouth after being paralysed at 13. Alongside her sister Olivia, Emily runs Wheely Good Ceramics in Hertfordshire, creating hand-painted pottery and delivering creative sessions in Horatio’s Garden London & South East.
They join iconic artists including Sophie Ryder, Quentin Blake, Sarah Armstrong-Jones, John Illsley (formerly bass guitarist of Dire Straits), Patrick Morales-Lee, Lucy Kent and Nic Fiddian-Green in donating one-of-a-kind pieces spanning painting, sculpture, ceramics, and photography.
Now in its third edition, the biennial auction is held in partnership with fine art auctioneers Woolley and Wallis and hosted online via the-saleroom.com, with selected works on view at the Woolley & Wallis Salisbury showroom.
Funds raised will support Horatio’s Garden, the nationwide charity supporting people with spinal injuries by building and looking after extraordinary gardens in the heart of NHS spinal injury centres across the UK. The gardens are a vital part of people’s rehabilitation, transforming recovery through nature, art, and community. Gardens have now been opened in eight of the eleven spinal injury centres in the UK. The charity’s vision is for everyone with a spinal injury to have a Horatio’s Garden as part of their rehabilitation care.
