A Chinese bat-shaped ceremonial plough, or chime, the stone carved with bamboo and three rows of calligraphy, by repute presented by the people of Hangchow for the cutting of the first furrow of the year by the Emperor, 47cm. Wide. Provenance: from the collection of the Late Reverend Victor Farmer.
