Description
A George III silvergilt vinaigrette, with raised floral borders and the relief portrait profile of a lady *on the cover and an engraved funerary urn on the grille, by Lea & Co, Birmingham 1817, 1.4in (3.5cm) long, 1oz. *Perhaps these were produced as memento mori tokens and the profile bears a striking resemblance to Princess Charlotte, Who died in child birth in 1817.
