A George III cast and tooled silvergilt plaque, circular with a laurel wreath border, the centre depicting a scene in high relief from the Rape of the Sabines, makers mark, lion passant and duty mark, by William Pitts, London 1815 (with securing studs and nuts for mounting), 9in (23cm) diameter, 42.5oz.
