Description
An 18th century gold mounted circular bonbonnière with a pull-off cover, decorated with a cisélé border of floral drops interspersed by fleur-de-lys motifs, the cover mounted with a domed, 17th century polychrome enamel plaque with an architectural landscape (on the interior) and a scene form Greek mythology, Paris receiving the Golden apple from Mercury, the base similarly mounted with a distant townscape as viewed through trees (on the interior) and the judgement of Paris on the exterior, unmarked, French c. 1780, the enamel is probably German, 2.3in (6cm) diameter
