Description

An interesting early Victorian naturalistic grater, in the form of a stylised melon, with alternating plain and chased lobes, hinged blued steel grater, by Taylor & Perry, Birmingham c.1858, 1.6in (4cm) long. *This nutmeg grater is very interesting in that it is stamped with minute London Assay offce marks, and the incise case no '8399', the marks have also been an antique plate committee meeting and deemed to be an illegal alteration - obviously in error.
