Description
A late Regency mahogany extending dining table, with a pair of ends with rounded corners and a telescope frame, having five leaves with a reeded edge, on turned and ribbed tapering legs with brass spoke castors, 28.5in (72.5cm) h 173in (439.5cm) extended, 53.5in (136cm) w. The leaves are housed in a cradle, the corners of the ends having been tipped, cracked to the frieze front. Provenance: 21st Earl of Shrewsbury, Ingestre Hall (near Stafford).
