Regimental Interest; an early 19th century mounted cow horn snuff mull, the hinged cover inset with The Waterloo Medal, under which a shield inscribed "Captain The Hon: Robert Clements, 1st Regiment of Foot Guards, Waterloo, 1815", unmarked, approx 7in (17.5cm) long. The Waterloo Medal: The first medal issued by the British Government all all soldiers present at the battle, also interesting to note the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards became the Grenadier Guards after the defeat of The Grenadiers of The French Imperial Guard, the only regiment in the British Army that has directly gained its title from the part if played in action.
