Description
A George III mahogany secretaire linen press, with satinwood banding, the detachable swan neck pediment with later marquetry inlay above a pair of oval panelled doors enclosing three slides, above a conforming base with a secretaire drawer fitted with pigeon holes, tulipwood banded drawers and a cupboard door, above a pair of cupboard doors enclosing three graduated drawers, on shaped bracket feet, 95in (241.5cm) h, 51in (129.5cm) w, 24in (61cm) d. Locks and some handles replaced, one section of moulding off, feet reduced, repairs and restorations.
