A small silver armorial roundel, possibly Plantagenet or Tudor,perhaps associated with the SWAYNE/SWAIN family, approx 31mm.¦The Swayne/Swain family includes a William Swayne was Master of the Tailors Guild and Mayor of Salisbury in 1444, 1455, and 1477 (and possibly other years as well). His wife's name was Christian and his father's name was James. In around 1457 William Swayne funded the construction of the Lady Chapel [Swayne Chapel] at Saint Thomas's Church, which still stands. His arms are recorded as 'Azure, a Chevron between three pheons or', which could be the arms to the right.¦
