Description
Two Velvet covered open armchairs in James I style, each with squab cushion with tassels, one with an applied aubusson style floral panel the other with a wirework and cotton panel centred the remains of an armorial, the padded arms on turned supports and conforming front legs united by peripheral stretchers. Provenance: The Marchionesse Curzon of Kedleston, purchased from Christie's on 23rd April 1953.
