A rare George III Irish wine label , cut out in the form of a navette, with a bright cut border, surmounted by a revealing putto astride a barrel, incised "PORT", by an unascribed maker, "IT", Dublin c.1790.* For similar examples see Wine Labels 1730-2003 by John Salter, figs 911 & 912.
