A rare George III provincial Argyle , in the form of a can with a reeded base and rim and a rising dome cover with an acorn finial, the body engraved on one side with a crest and on the other with the initial `G' within a hatched oval cartouche, the interior with a cylindrical hot water container and a pull-off container, by John Hampston and John Prince, York 1790, 4.75in (12cm) high, 10.5oz.
