A Victorian carved rosewood bookstand on base, in the manner of Gillows, having pierced scrolling foliage sides a plush lined slope and a scroll front with a moulded edge, previously with pegs, to a rectangular moulded edge top having two leather insets on ribbed and petal carved supports, the lappet scroll legs united by a conforming stretcher to paw feet with sunken brass castors, 40.5in (103cm) h, 41in (104cm) w, 19.75in (50.2cm) d.
