Description

A Chinese cloisonné bottle vase, the tall slender neck encircled by a sinuous single-horned dragon, the body with four peach-shaped panels, two containing liondogs and two with phoenix, all on a ground of lotus, 17th century, wear, restoration and repairs, 31cm. Cf. Enamel Ware in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, National Palace Museum, no.19 for a related example from the 17th century, also with a coiled dragon around the neck.
