A carved marble sculpture of a shepherdess, in the manner of John Cheere, protecting herself from the rain, with a lamb under her right arm, to a naturalistic circular base, early 19th century, 39.5in (100.5cm) h. Traces of later paint, various losses including: her nose and lips.
