A 19th century French satinwood and cut steel sewing necessaire, of sarcophagus shape the hinged lid inset a mirror, damaged, to a velvet lined lift-out tray fitted with mother of pearl and gilt metal mounted utensils including: a seal, scissors, a cut glass scent bottle and a bodkin case, 5in (12.5cm) h, 9.75in (24.5cm) w, 6.75in (17.4cm) d.
