A small Derby figure of Billy Waters, the peg-legged musician wearing an elaborately plumed hat and playing his fiddle, 19th century, restoration, 9.3cm.
Billy Waters was a well-known busker on The Strand in the 1780s. It is believed he ended up on the streets following the American War of Independence.
