Description
A rare and large pearlware blue and white mug, printed with a coat of arms and the motto "Itum Est in Viscera Terrae", within a border of oak branches laden with acorns, an Oriental landscape either side, c.1800, a flat footrim chip to the base, 15.5cm.
The pickaxes, spades and motto of the coat of arms would indicate it relates to the mining industry.
