A delftware dry drug jar, bearing the slogan 'S.CAR.AMA' in a cartouche topped by a shell between two cherubs holding flowers, 18th century, some areas of overpainting to the neck, 19.5cm.
Sal Catharticum Amarum is the old medical name for Magnesium Sulphate - otherwise known as Epsom Salts.
