Description
Two pencil and wash designs for Morris & Co tile panels, the design attributed to Edward Burne-Jones, one entitled Ariadne, the other probably Phyllidia, on one sheet of paper unsigned, sheet size 25 x 25cm.
A three tile panel of another version of Ariadne, designed by Edward Burne-Jones exists and is held in the Victoria & Albert Museum collection. these designs are more in keeping in style and scale with the two tile panels of The Legend of Goode Wimmen. Phyllidia is the only Good Wimmen tile panel not recorded.
