A large Gothic Revival oak mirror, by James Hartley, with crenellated with stencilled and carved panels, signed in pencil, 181 x 191cm.
Hartley was employed as a cabinet maker by Gillows, who were commissioned to produce a crenellated bookcase for Snelston Hall Derbyshire in 1875 which bears comparison with this mirror.
