Description

A silver kettle on stand, the burner with maker's mark of A.F, the kettle with a London Assay Office obliterated mark, circular bellied form, with Chinoiserie and scroll panels, domed hinged cover with a flower finial, the stand with a pierced foliate apron and on three scroll legs on shell feet, rhodium plated, approx. weight 76oz. ** Provenance: Purchased on the 23rd of September 1887 from Redmond and Co, 66 South Great George's Street, Dublin for £20.16.0., and thence by descent to the current owner The Antique Plate Committee Goldsmiths Hall, November 1978, case number 5051.
