Description

A fine Chinese pale celadon jade vase and cover, with three loose ring handles, the ovoid body carved with vertical hydra scroll flanges and three projecting ram head supports, the cover with a hollow knop carved with confronting dragons, all raised on a flared foot, 25cm. (2) Exhibited at the Canadian International Trade Fair, Toronto 1948. Cf. Parke-Bernet Galleries, Chinese Jade Carvings, January 12th 1949, lot 323.
