An early 19th century Irish silver mounted Glory of the Seas shell (Conus gloriamaris)snuff box, with maker's mark only, that of Aneas Ryan, Dublin circa 1810, the mount with a reeded border, and flush hinged cover engraved with castle ramparts below a star, length 10.3cm. **This shell could be a Conus Textile, and not a Glory of the Sea shell.
