A Shapland & Petter mahogany coal cupboard the cupboard with inset repousse patinated copper panel of pine cones, below pillar rail and back plate with three heart-shaped cut out motif, with patinated copper furniture unmarked 98cm. high Daryll Bennett Shapland & Petter Ltd of Barnstaple Museum of Barnstaple, page 108 plate 6.20 for a reproduction of original line drawings by William Cowie depicting sideboards and buffets in the same range. Page 51 plate 4.25 a hall mirror with similar copper panels.
