Description
A George I green japanned chest on stand, all over decorated with oriental figures, birds and buildings, the moulded cornice above three short and three long graduated drawers, fitted original brass drop handles, the stand with three drawers on slender turned baluster supports united by a later stretcher, 63.5in (161cm) h, 42.25in (107cm) w, 23in (58cm) d. Decoration very worn, one leg very unstable, losses and old worm.
