Description

Two Sèvres-style cups and trembleuse saucers, one painted with a small boy beside a basket of grapes, the saucer with motifs of gardening implements, on a pale blue and gilt oeil de perdix ground, the other with a putto holding an armillary sphere, and panels of instruments for astronomy and geography, on a rose du Pompadour ground, interlaced Ls marks, some scratching and wear, 13.1cm. (4) Provenance: From the estate of Niel Rimington (1928-2009) of Fonthill Old Abbey Estate, Wiltshire.
