Description
A creamware teapot and cover, modelled as a monkey wearing a conical hat, seated astride a serpent whose head forms the spout, the primate's tail curled to form the handle, decorated in shades of brown, green and ochre, 19th century, a little damage to the cover, 23cm. (2)
Provenance: From the estate of Niel Rimington (1928-2009) of Fonthill Old Abbey Estate, Wiltshire.
