Description
Alate 18th century North Italian walnut concave front kneehole desk, with crossbanding and orangewood stringing, the fixed pigeon holes raised back to a central frieze slide with replaced leather surface above a drawer, flanked by two drawers and a pair of cupboard doors, enclosing a shelf, on carved cabriole legs, 38in (96.5cm) h, 51in (129.5cm) w, 27in (68.5cm) d. The two frieze drawers were previously lockable with a peg through the base into the top of each cupboard.
