A 19th century miniature boat compass, by Bradford, London, with a printed card dial and within a silver coloured metal case, having locking spikes, 2in (5cm) dia. in a turned boxwood outer case case with a brass spike. The compass bowl gimbals on the case's spike, a wooden ring in the case allows the locking position to take effect.
