A Regency commemorative coverlet, centred a printed rectangular portrait of Princess Charlottle, titled Her Royal Highnefs Princess Charlotte of Wales And of Saxe Coburg Saalfeld, Born 7th Jan 1796 Died 6th Nov 1817, within four printed borders. 97 x 80.5in (247 x 204cm).
Princess Charlotte was the only child of George IV, who married Leopold of Saxe Coburg Saalfeld on 2nd May 1816 and died the day after giving birth to a stillborn son. Her death was mourned nationally.
